Understanding Your BMI
In Australia, we use BMI to determine if a person is overweight or obese. According to the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) a person with a BMI over 25 is classified as overweight and a person with a BMI over 30 is obese.
What should I do if my BMI is over 25?
Your health is at risk and you need to take action. Initially, we suggest that you seek the advice of your GP. They can explain the various options and support programs available to you.
